Architecting OT Security for Critical Infrastructures with a focus on Singapore’s CCOP + NIST guidelines
Recent events such as the Colonial Pipeline ransomware attack in the United States show us how critical yet delicate our critical infrastructures are.
Part of the problem with restoring service of this critical pipeline has been shown to be a lack of asset inventory and the lack of a complete understanding of the interconnectivity between all of the various components. As convergence between IT and OT continues to accelerate, we need to:
- Inventorise and baseline our existing Operational Technology networks to understand what’s there and its configuration and vulnerability position.
- Monitor these networks to detect potential indicators of compromise.
- Establish segregation between different parts of the infrastructure to help compartmentalise any breaches, limiting damage.
In this session, we will share the benefits of a reference architecture that facilitates the comprehensive and safe monitoring and segregation of your entire Operational Technology infrastructure without disruption using a combination of technologies – Tenable.OT combined with ST Engineering’s Data Diode.
Guidance provided by Singapore’s Code of Cybersecurity Practices for CII (CCoP) and NIST in relation to the above will also be provided.
