When automotive giant Renault searched for a collaborative powerwall, it turned to ST Engineering Antycip to customise and install an immersive virtual reality suite at Renault's facilities in three countries, allowing teams to collaborate on a global scale.
The dramatic floor-to-ceiling 5m x 2.5m 4K screen with a premium Christie laser projector, a 5.1 surround sound system and a range of related equipment is the setup for Renault's 4K powerwall system, was installed at Renault’s facilities in India’s Chennai, South Korea’s Busan and Brazil’s São José dos Pinhais.
The three powerwall systems, which run Renault’s own 4K-native software and content, will be used by the carmaker’s local teams in an immersive way for teams in remote locations to work together, and the powerwalls fulfilled Renault’s desire to break down silos and make global collaboration efficient and effective.
Now, many aspects of the development process from product design and review to assessing vehicle aesthetics, ergonomics and performance can be conducted virtually between the three countries and Renault’s headquarters in Paris.
